My husband and I are opening our first salon soon. My question to the season salon owners is: what have you done to attract and keep quality employees? Do you have the barbers to sign a contract? Do you determine, after talking with the barber, whether to have that barber on commission or just a flat chair rental rate?

I have a lot of questions, but decided not to over do it in this post...
